Why is it?

Why is it the same child, who is crying over nothing one minute having a meltdown, can still be so precious when he falls asleep from exhaustion? I guess preplanning week is tiring for everyone!

Sam was crying on the way home from Nana's because I cranked the car before he got in, a mortal sin in our house. I told him he had to stop crying over little things if he was going to be in the 4 year old class this fall. I told him if he didn't stop I would call Mrs. Pat (the preschool director) and tell her he needed to be in a 2 year old class. He replied to me, "You don't even have her number!" I stopped the car in the street and picked up my cell phone. He then quicklly said, "OK...you do...OK....you do!" Gotta love 'em!

Crying over everything? What is wrong with your parenting? My children sit quietly and discuss current events, solving world hunger, and curing cancer ONLY after they have finished thier vocabulary lesson! :) Losing control over seemingly nothing is our new house specialty!

I seem to ask myself that same question (or one very similar to it) everyday. Hope preplanning went well and you have a great school year.
